My kids love National Geographics Kids when they were younger. ChopChop is great if your grandchildren are interested in cooking. And Cricket is perfect for a kid that likes to read literature. However, all of them have a focus that will make them less likely to bring it up much, if at all. As a whole other option, you could consider an activity subscription rather than a magazine subscription.
